About Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)
Scalp Micropigmentation, or SMP, is the only hair loss solution for men and women that guarantees results. This advanced medical hair tattoo procedure is a safe, non-invasive solution to treat any hair loss, such as male and female pattern baldness, thinning hair, alopecia and head scars. The results are instant, long-lasting and low maintenance. SMP is performed over 3-4 sessions to allow for treatment layering and time for the new treatment to settle in.
Scalp Micropigmentation is performed using specially formulated micro needles to deposit pigment into the upper dermal layer of the scalp, replicating the appearance of natural hair by imitating the look of hair follicles. The micro deposits of pigment are matched and blended to your existing hair to create an undetachable result. SMP creates the look of a buzz cut for those who are receding or bald or the appearance of fuller, thicker hair for those with fine or thinning hair.
Immediately after treatment, you may experience some redness, which usually subsides within 24 hours. Whilst the treatment area is healing your scalp may feel warm and itchy at times. Most patients return to their usual daily activities immediately after treatment. To minimise side effects, reduce adverse reactions and maximise treatment results, please adhere to the aftercare advice given to you following your treatment.
Recommended treatment frequency
3-4 sessions are required to complete the full SMP treatment.
The treatment schedule is as follows:
Session 1: This is where we discuss and design your new hairline and begin the foundation layer of your SMP treatment)
Session 2: 7 days after session 1 (This treatment is all about building density to the treatment area)
Session 3: 4 weeks after session 2 (This is where we add more density and perfect your SMP result)
The results are permanent and will last a lifetime, some patients may require maintenance touch ups every 3-6 years.Book a consultation Send me a message
